Public Allies advances diverse young leaders to strengthen communities, nonprofits and civic participation. Since 1992, almost 1,200 diverse young adults have completed our ten month long program of full-time, paid apprenticeships in community organizations, weekly leadership training, and team service projects. We have also recently launched new programs to promote the service, advocacy, and activism of our alumni network. This year, over 200 Allies serve in Chicago, Cincinnati, Delaware, Estes Park (CO), Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York City, Raleigh-Durham, Silicon Valley, Taos (NM), and Washington DC. Our national headquarters are in Milwaukee.
